Maxim Liksutov told the expert community about the measures taken in the capital to improve the transport situation and shared the main directions of United Transport Strategy in Moscow.

One of the first steps towards the optimization of traffic and use of public space by road users was the introduction of parking fees in the center of Moscow. Automated system allows to analyze the occupancy of parking spaces and their presence on a particular street. Also, a new transport system of evacuation began to work in the city on September 15 2013. According to the Department of Transportation and Development of road transport infrastructure of Moscow, the number of violations decreased by 65%, the amount of the entering personal transport decreased by 25%, the speed of traffic increased by 9%, while the average car parking has decreased by 60% as a result of implementation of the paid parking project.

Whatever is done in the field of transport in Moscow generally corresponds to international practice and that expressed by experts all previous years, - said Vadim Donchenko, Supervisor of "NIIAT" JSC - But the justification of a number of major construction projects in doubt. Global construction - is in many cases the destruction of the urban environment, the deterioration of the quality of life.

Principles of safety, time, environment, economy and capacity laid in the implementation of the Unified Transport Strategy in Moscow. Major steps towards its implementation in various fields are accepted -145 km of new subway lines and 67 new stations will be built, provided 226 km of additional main lines for passenger of rail lines,, a single ticket for all modes of transport to be introduced, the number of dedicated lanes will be increased.
