The representative of NIIAT Oleg Sedin took part in the Assembly of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP)

The International Association of Public Transport (UITP) is the only worldwide network to bring together all public transport stakeholders and all sustainable transport modes. The UITP is a public association and is managed by its members organized on a modal and geographical basis. Members of the Eurasia region countries are united in the UITP Eurasian section, which currently has 45 representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine.

The supreme management organ of the UITP Section is the Assembly of the Eurasian Section. This year meeting was held on December 11.

The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) was chosen as location for the meeting. The issues of organizational, research and training activities of the Eurasian section of the UITP were discussed. The Head of the Research Department "Problems of Training Drivers of Motor Vehicles" of NIIAT Oleg Sedin participated in work of representative bodies representative body.


The session of the section was timed to coincide with the opening of the UITP Regional Training Center in Moscow, whose activities are aimed at developing cooperation in the field of creating and implementing a unified educational environment, additional professional education in the field of public transport infrastructure in Moscow, taking into account current international standards. Experts, current specialists, and transport colleagues will share their experience with the employees of the transport complex in Moscow.

After the meeting all participants attended the Inauguration of the UITP Training Center and attended the first training session as listeners. The session was dedicated to new mobility services: mobility as a service (MaaS), on-demand trips, unmanned vehicles.
