The General Director of NIIAT Alexey Vasilkov took part in a press conference on digitalization of public services in the field of automobile transport

The press conference “How the digitalization of public services in the field of road transport improves the organization of passenger road transport” organized by Rosavtotrans was held on January 29, 2020 at the Public News News Agency (Moscow).
The purpose of the event was to attract the attention of the organizers of passenger bus transportation to the new program which was developed by Rosavtotrans as part of the digital transformation of the transport complex and which was designed to automate the process of processing applications for the establishment, modification, termination of regular routes of interregional traffic, applications for inclusion in the register, modification and deletion of information about stopping points on interregional routes.
The meeting was attended by the The General Director of NIIAT Alexey Vasilkov as well as representatives of the Federal State Institution “Rosavtotrans”, The Federal Authority for Transport Oversight (Rostransnadzor), the Russian Motor Transport Union, the Association "Development of the country's bus stations", representatives of passenger road carriers and other experts in the transport industry.
The event was dedicated to the issues of switching to paperless registration of permits for working on interregional routes of regular passenger transportation, the possibility of filling out an application through a personal account using electronic signatures, filing and reviewing documents in a united database, reducing the time for processing applications and planning transport for passengers using the new service: online register of regular routes of interregional transport.
Paperless interaction contributes to comfortable and quality work not only of the applicant, but also of all participants in the negotiation process. The system has created letter templates to reduce labor costs and to speed up the process of coordination of documents with relevant state and municipal structures. The electronic application format through this program saves the federal budget in terms of costs for the provision of public services.
Bus passenger safety has also become one of the key topics of the conference. Participants of the meeting discussed the problem of illegal traffic which often leads to tragedies on the roads. As noted by Alexey Vasilkov the new program enables the bona fide carriers to come in from the cold and become legal.
