The head of the research sector of the organizational and methodological support of transport planning of the NIIAT Tatyana Mikheeva took part in the VIII International Siberian Transport Forum and made a presentation in the section on taxi: “Development of unmanned taxi in the world. Threats to the labor market”.
She noted that “the main strategy now is to find technology that statistically outperforms the likelihood of unsafe moments in relation to human driving. Such tests are conducted both in Russia and abroad. According to statistics, there is 1 death with a drone for 145 million km of run of all cars. It is necessary to reduce this figure".
The International Siberian Transport Forum is the region's largest industry event, aimed at government authorities interaction with the public and business community to solve current problems of transport and road-construction complexes, and investment attractiveness of Siberia increasing. More than 9,000 people attend the Forum annually. The Forum is organised by the government of the Novosibirsk region, the Ministry of Transport of Russia, the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk region.
