NIIAT Research Supervisor Vadim Donchenko took part in the meeting of the International Transport Forum’s Transport Research Committee at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (ITF OECD) which took place on the 6th November in Dublin, Ireland.
Pursuant to a request from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Vadim Donchenko was elected Vice-chairman of The Bureau of the International Transport Forum’s Transport Research Committee.
The International Transport Forum at the OECD is an intergovernmental organization with 60 member countries. It acts as a think tank for transport policy and works for deeper understanding of the role of transport in economic growth, environmental sustainability and social inclusion and to raise the public profile of transport policy.
The ITF organises a platform for discussion and pre-negotiation of policy issues across all transport modes, analyses trends, shares knowledge and promotes exchange among transport decision-makers and civil society. The ITF’s Annual Summit is the world’s largest gathering of transport ministers and the leading global platform for dialogue on transport policy.
